The Scale Olympics feature a series of scale competency activities.  It is designed to allow students to set attainable goals for learning scales and chords. 

​

Students register for their choice of difficulty from five possible events and earn an aggregate score in order to gain ribbons and prizes, and receive comments.  Students may register for ALL FIVE categories, OR a combination of them.  

​

Please click on the Scale Handbook link HERE for further details.  Please note the addition of tempo requirements for Scales 5-8, Arpeggios 5-8, and Broken Chords.

Applications are due on October 3rd, 2025, by 11:59pm. Please note that registration forms must be filled out by teachers only. Likewise, teachers must collect individual payment from students and make a single online payment to NEOMTA through PayPal or a check.  Please email NEOMTA@gmail.com for mailing address to send a check.​

Late applications and/or late payment will not be accepted.

No refunds will be issued after October 3rd.

Fees: 

$25.00 per level for students of an NEOMTA member
$50.00 per level for students of non-NEOMTA members
