2026 NEOMTA Young Artist's Recital

The Young Artist Recital is geared towards students that are preparing for competitions such as the Buckeye Auditions.  This is an opportunity for students to strengthen their performance experience in front of a live audience.

Performers are selected based on recorded auditions.  Portions of this recital may be recorded and published on the Northeast Ohio Music Teachers Association YouTube Channel.  Auditions must be submitted by January 15th, 2025.  Selected performers will be notified shortly thereafter.  All decisions by the jury are final and binding.

Applicants, please provide the following:

1) An online application form.

2) An unedited video recording  

• The video recording must include ONE work or movement for instrumental combinations with up to one piano (including solo piano).

• Intermediate-level repertoire (e.g. a Clementi Sonatina) and above will be accepted.

• Submitted repertoire must be no longer than 10 minutes. 

• Only students of current NEOMTA members are eligible.

GUIDELINES FOR VIDEO SUBMISSIONS

• Memorization is required

• Position the camera clearly showing the performer's hands and the keytops (see above)

• Piano should be reasonably in tune

• Recommend landscape mode
