2021 Virtual Masterclass with Sasha Starcevich

NEOMTA is proud to present a piano masterclass by one of America's top piano pedagogues,

Dr. Sasha Starcevich. 

 

Students may apply for participation in the masterclass before March 28th, 2021.

                                

Young students from Dr. Starcevich's acclaimed piano studios in Seattle and Vancouver have won important competitions such as the Gina Bachauer, Cooper, and Minnesota International Competitions; soloed with major American orchestras, from the Cleveland Orchestra to the Seattle Symphony; and attended top schools such as Curtis, Julliard, and Yale.  Well-known for his clear, poetic instruction and his ability to put students at ease, Dr. Starcevich is sought-after across the United States for his dazzling teaching seminars.

 

Dr. Starcevich currently serves as Artistic Director of Music Fest Perugia, and enjoys an active career as a soloist.  His full biography is available here.

Students wishing to be considered for participation in this masterclass are required to submit:

 

1) An online application form.                         for form.

 

2) An unedited video recording (either Youtube link or video upload) **

 

The video recording must include ONE work or movement for solo piano drawn from the standard repertoire. The piece must be memorized and performance-ready and should be the EXACT piece the student wishes to play in the masterclass.
Intermediate-level repertoire (e.g. a Clementi Sonatina) and above will be accepted for the masterclass. 

 

** If you are submitting a YOUTUBE LINK, please ensure that the video is "Unlisted" (before uploading the video, select "Unlisted" under Privacy settings).  Paste the URL onto the online application form.

 

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT APPLICATION AND VIDEO RECORDING: Sunday, March 28th, 2021

 

Late submissions will not be considered.

 

An adjudicator will be appointed to review the recordings and select the master class performers. 

 

Notification of accepted students will be made via email on or before April 4th.
